P3-Productions
So I realized my old blog that I had long forgotten about is linked to this new blog. I was looking through it and couldn't help but laugh at my own wit of my self of 2 years ago.
I hardly remember posting these or coming up with the comedy in it.
Maybe I can take something from it and bring some of it back.
Here's a link!

Also people...you CAN comment on these posts! I'd appreciate feedback! :)

Super 8

My dad bought Super 8 on blu-ray. We watched it yesterday on his big ass tv with surround sound and everything. I loved it. I am very much a sci-fi movie kind of person.

Well I noticed throughout the movie that J.J. Abrams (who also did Cloverfield, Lost, Fringe, Star Trek) used a lot of lens flare. As over the top as it was, I really liked the effect it gave the movie. I also noticed at almost all times during the movie there was kind of a blue cast over everything (cool colors), but there was always something in the foreground with warm colors (red, orange, amber, yellow, etc). For example, a bus in the night where everything has a cool overtone, yet the amber blinkers were in the foreground making the whole scene just POP.

I decided to attempt to find an image on Google Images that had absolutely nothing to do with Super 8 and see if I could make it look like it fit in just by adding a few effects to it in Photoshop. The pictures posted here are the result. The first is the original picture I found, and the second is after I added a cool overtone (blues) and some lens flares.
With a bit of typography added to it, it was perfect in my opinion. I think its amazing how you can add a few tones to an image and create so much mood and change the entire meaning of an image.
If you have any questions on what I did, feel free to comment below or on my facebook.

So a lot of you said you would read my blog if I kept one up everyday. Well it's been a while since I posted one and no one has questioned it haha. I've been sick. Tonsilitis. Its been over a week since I went to the doctor and my last blog post.
I still feel pretty shitty. My fault for not taking my meds like I should though. I had a pretty decently interesting week to say the least. It started out pretty fun on Friday when I went to Destrahan for Lee's wedding rehearsal and dinner. Then that night we hit up New Orleans. Harrah's...The Republic...hotel...it was a good time. Then, in the morning it was time to start getting ready for the wedding.
We got through the day...the wedding went great...the reception went great. Well Sunday, I got a call from my mom saying my grandpa wasn't breathing and that the paramedics were doing CPR. 15 minutes later she called back and said that they lost him. He had been battling a few different cancers for a while now, but it all just happened so suddenly.
Peter E Woodward Sr. was in the Army and Navy for about 21 years total. He was a Vietnam veteran and lived around the US moving constantly while my dad was growing up. They eventually s
ettled here in Houma. He was a great man and cracked us all up with his sense of humor. Today was his funeral. The Veterans Association did a military service and a 21 gun salute. It was beautiful...I could hardly hold back my tears.
Maybe I'll start posting here daily again. Maybe I won't. I can't really tell if anyone reads it anyway, but it'll be more like a private diary that way. Who knows...maybe I'll reveal who my secret crush is???!!! (Brandi Beattie future-Woodward) That's her official name now until we're married. I declare it.
Until next time...have a happy Thanksgiving everyone!
R.I.P. Peter Woodward I. 1939-2011.

Sic.
Well of course, while getting my voice back I gained a badass cough so hard that it makes my nose bleed, sneezing, sinus pressure, headache and sore throat.
So to the ENT (ear, nose, throat doctor) I went. So while waiting for the doctor I snapped this shot of the things he would soon probe into my face.
After a shot and some instructions, I left and got my cocktail of meds from the pharmacy and headed home. If I felt better at the moment, I'd probably type more.

Heard what I said?!
Didn't do too much today, so not much to talk about. I basically just cleaned house all day and went through some boxes we never unpacked since we moved. The first picture is of a weird poem I found in an old sketchbook that I wrote years ago. The second picture is from the parking lot at Dynasty Buffet, but it has nothing to do with the following story.
So while going through some boxes, I found an old sketchbook I haven't seen in a while and found a poem I don't remember writing exactly. This is what it said:
"Going crazy this day of night.
Gonna scare ya crazy full of fright.
Gonna drink ya blood and steal your soul.
Are you still coming?
Are you that bold?
I'll beat you and eat you.
I'll tear you to shreds.
I'm gonna hide here, there,
and under your bed!
I'm the baddest monster in your neighborhood.
I don't go to bed even though I should.
Scaring kids is my fantasy.
You better hope you can run away as fast as me.
I'm gonna steal your candy.
I'll eat your soul.
In fact when I get back
I'll put you in a bowl!
The little devils living under your bed
Are gonna get a taste of you as soon as you're dead.
They're gonna eat ya up and spit ya out!
Heard what I said!?"
Lol...needless to say...its kinda retarded. It was probably one of those nights sitting up bored at night when I wrote it. Who knows.

B-dubs!!!
Why do you ALWAYS do this to me????
Love,
Your Stomach"
Today Brandi and I went to B-dubs (Buffalo Wild Wings). It's been a long time since we've been, but it used to be a weekly feast. Yes, feast. We always seem to walk out of this place groaning that we ate too much. Well it is damn good...can you blame us?
Today was no different. We stuffed ourselves silly on the "Sampler" and some wings. Our stomachs hated us for the next hour. Why do we do this to ourselves? Because food is good.
My only complaint is how damn salty it all is...especially the parmesan-garlic sauce. I'm still thirsty from that meal.

Brandi is a Godmother!
A week ago, Brandi became a Godmother! (Most of you know me well enough, but in case you don't know, Brandi is my fiancee.) Our good friends Stephanie and Gary had their second child, Dalton, a week ago today.
This picture was taken that afternoon when we came to see them at the hospital. He has blonde hair, eyebrows, and eye lashes...just like his mommy :)
Halloween 2011
I had a dream one night that for Halloween I was a clown. I'm already scared of clowns, but this clown had torn hunks of skin off his face in the shape of anything red in clown makeup i.e. nose and smile.
So since I wanted to experiment with liquid latex this year, I decided I'd make this dream into a reality. Thus came the horror you see before you.
This was a self-portrait I took in my bathroom with my Canon dslr. I used no fancy lighting...only my bathroom mirror's lights. With a little bit of color editing, it came out great overall in my opinion.
On a side note: I thank the 10+ people who "Liked" my Facebook post to talk me into making this full blown photo blog. I posted this one just to have an extra blog post for today.
I'm going to post at least a daily image from my day and when I have time, I'll talk about it. Hopefully I can keep you guys interested enough to keep reading my posts and keep my life interesting!
